Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Play Sprint Club Nitro online for free. Sprint Club Nitro is a F1 formula racing game similar to the arcade classic Pole Position. Race to see how well you can place, and use your purse to upgrade your car.

Starting the Game

Click the play button in the lower right corner of the game’s welcome screen.
The welcome screen also has a sound control button in the upper right corner, and buttons for developer credits and more games in the lower left corner.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your left and right arrow keys to move left or right to change lanes.
  - You can also use the mouse left click button and move the cursor left or right to steer, but that is less fluid than the keyboard controls.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the left or right side of the screen to move left or right.
    - Your current speed and race position are shown in the upper left corner of the screen.
    - The top center of the screen shows how much of the course you have covered and how close you are to the finish line.
    - The upper right corner contains buttons to pause the game or turn sound on or off.
    - Game Play
      - Racing
        The race series has a total of 9 tracks with 3 each in forest, city, and desert.
        Each series has one fewer lane than the prior series.
        forest has 4 lanes
        city has 3 lanes
        desert has 2 lanes
        You can replay previously beat tracks to try to get a better result on them. You earn purse money even if you get the same ranking or worse.
        You start off each race in twenty place and try to make your way up to first place.
        Your car automatically accelerated. The only thing you really control is your left or right movement.
        Anticipate opposing vehicles cutting you off & try to give yourself optionality when you are near other cars.
        If any of them hit you then you will slow down and many of them will likely pass you.
        Keep your car on the road. If you go off the edge of the road then you slow down dramatically.
        If you have to choose between going slightly off the road or hitting another car it is generally better to temporarily go slightly off the road.
        Each time you turn left or right you slow down slightly.
        Pick up nitrous on the road to boost your speed
        These are the key to being able to pass many other racecars as they give you a large speed differential, which minimizes the time you spend near the other cars.
        Do not bump another car while picking one of these up or after picking one up or you will lose the speed boost.
        It is preferable to bump into anything other than another car as you can go offroad and retain the nitros boost, but you lose it immediately if you bump into another car.
        The road gets narrower as you advance through the game.
        The desert races can fit maybe 3 cars across compared to a much wider track that could fit closer to a dozen cars in the earlier levels.
        Upgrades
        You earn money bases on how well you finish in the races.
        You can upgrade the following attributes: grip, top speed, acceleration, & nitro.
        Each attribute can be upgraded a total of 8 times. The first 2 upgrades of each feature cost $100, then $250 for the next 2, then $500 for the next 2, then $1,000 each for the final two.
        Fully upgrading each feature costs $3,700, which puts the total cost at $14,800.
        Click on the price for the upgrade to buy it and click the yellow and black button in the lower right corner to play the next race.
        Other Vehicles
        As long as you stay on the road and do not bump any other vehicles your car is faster than the other cars.
        Your car is the only vehicle which picks up turbos.
        Once you pass a car they generally will not come back into the picture unless you hit something.
        The other cars do not drive like racecar drivers would drive. Rather they drive as though they are trying to get into a wreck and cut you off. If you bump them at all they will continue as nothing ever happened and you will slow down to a near stop.
        Difficulty curve
        The final tracks are much more difficult than the earlier tracks, so after you play through the game once it should be quite easy to start at the first track and keep getting first place on each track for the first 7 or 8 tracks, using the purse money to buy further upgrades.
        The final track is brutally difficult to finish in first place.
        You can have your car fully upgraded, not run into anything, pick up all nitro & still get second place. And not hitting anything is quite challenging since the road is only 2 lanes wide and the cars actively aim to get in a wreck with you.
        On every other track I got first pace on at most 2 or 3 tries, but it took me about 30 tries to get first place on the final track.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for racing game fans of all ages.
        The game has no adult content.
